Lampe Berger was established in 1898 by Maurice Berger, a French pharmaceutical chemist based in Paris. They were first used to purify the air in hospital wards, mortuaries and later our private homes. Through an association with his company Lampe Berger and the profound glass bottle makers of the era such as Lalique and Baccarat - the 1920's proved to be one of their strongest periods.

A Lampe Berger lamp will use on average 1 ounce of fragrance in one hour, typically a 20oz (500ml) bottle will last 20 hours - used 20 minutes every day the bottle should typically last for one month.
